Section 213. Functions of the administrative board of the courts

  • 1.  The
      administrative board shall consult with the chief judge with respect  to
      the  establishment  of administrative standards and policies for general
      application  throughout  the   state,   in   accordance   with   section
      twenty-eight of article six of the constitution.
        2.  The  administrative  board  shall  have  the  powers of advice and
      consent with respect to: (a) the appointment of a chief administrator of
      the courts, as provided in section twenty-eight of article  six  of  the
      constitution;  and  (b)  pursuant to the provisions of section thirty of
      article six of  the  constitution,  the  adoption  of  rules  regulating
      practice  and  procedure  in  the  courts  by the chief administrator as
      authorized by law.
        3.  The  administrative  board  shall  have  such  other  consultative
      functions as may be required by the chief judge.
