Section 79-M. Claims and actions

Latest version.

No action for or against any of the
  several towns shall abate, nor shall any claim be affected by reason  of
  consolidation,  and  unless the proposition shall provide otherwise, the
  new town shall succeed to all claims and actions in favor of such  towns
  and be liable for any such claims and actions against any of them.
