Section 79-G. Public hearing

Prior to the submission of the proposition,
  the boards of the several towns shall hold a  joint  public  hearing  on
  notice  of at least ten, but not more than twenty days, published in the
  official newspaper of each of the several towns, or in the absence of an
  official newspaper in any town, one having general circulation  in  such
  town.  The  notice  of  the  public  hearing  shall briefly describe the
  proposition and such other  matters  deemed  relevant  or  necessary  to
  effectuate the consolidation.
