Section 2526. Statewide public education

  • The commissioner shall establish
      a statewide public education and  outreach  campaign  to  publicize  the
      prenatal care assistance program, and to publicize pilot programs in the
      designated  geographic areas, address the need for pre-conception health
      and reduction of high risk factors, emphasize the importance of prenatal
      care on child health, encourage women to seek other assistance  if  they
      are ineligible for the program and provide information about the effects
      of poor nutrition, tobacco, and alcohol and substance abuse.
