Section 876. Definitions

As used in this title, unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context: 1. The term "district" shall mean the Genesee Valley Regional Market District created by section eight hundred seventy-seven of this title. 2. The term "authority" shall mean the corporation created by section eight hundred seventy-eight of this title. 3. The term "board" shall mean the members of the authority. 4. The term "bonds" shall mean bonds issued by the authority pursuant to this title. 5. The term "municipality" shall mean a county, city, town or village. 6. The term "county" shall mean a county wholly or partly within the district. 7. The term "regional market facility" shall mean a place operated as a regional wholesale market primarily for perishable agricultural commodities, including the land, buildings, fixtures, equipment and other appurtenances necessary or incidental thereto, constituting a single integrated market for the district and which serves as the major source of supply of such commodities for a large consuming area. 8. The clause "all that territory in Wayne county lying west of the new pre-emption line" shall include the towns of Arcadia, Lyons, Macedon, Marion, Ontario, Palmyra, Sodus, Walworth and Williamson and the clause "that territory in Wayne county lying east of the new pre-emption line" shall include all the other towns in Wayne county.
