Chapter 63. BUSINESS INTEGRITY COMMISSION |
Section 2100. Business integrity commission

a. There shall be a business integrity commission, which shall consist of a full-time chairperson appointed by the mayor and of the commissioners of the department of small business services, the department of consumer affairs, the department of investigation, the police department and the department of sanitation, or their designees. b. The chairperson may appoint a first deputy who shall possess all the powers and perform all the duties of the chairperson during the absence or disability of the chairperson and in case of the death of the chairperson or of a vacancy in that office shall act as chairperson until the appointment of a chairperson by the mayor. c. The chairperson shall have charge of the organization of the commission and shall have authority to employ, assign and superintend the duties of such officers and employees as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter. In addition, the commissioner of any agency represented on the commission or the commissioner of any other appropriate city agency may, if requested, provide staff and other assistance with respect to any matter within the jurisdiction of the commission.
