Section 204-A. Examination of plans; fees

  • 1.  Building plans.  A fee not
      to exceed two hundred dollars shall be charged by the  commissioner  for
      the  examination of plans submitted for approval for the construction or
      alteration of a building  to  be  used  or  occupied  as  a  factory,  a
      mercantile  establishment  or  a  place  of  public  assembly  or for an
      elevator located therein.  The commissioner is authorized  to  prescribe
      such   fee  based  upon  the  estimated  cost  of  the  construction  or
      alteration.
          2.   Exhaust and ventilating plans.   A  fee  not  to  exceed  fifty
      dollars  shall  be  charged  by  the commissioner for the examination of
      plans submitted for approval for the installation or modification of  an
      exhaust  or  ventilating  system.    The  commissioner  is authorized to
      prescribe such fee based upon the capacity of the system.
