Section 16. Abolition of office of railroad commissioners

  • The board of
      supervisors of any county may, upon  the  application  of  the  auditing
      board  of  any municipal corporation therein, by resolution, abolish the
      office of railroad commissioners  of  such  municipal  corporation,  and
      direct  the  manner of the transfer of their duties to the supervisor of
      the town, or the treasurer of the municipal  corporation  other  than  a
      town,  and  upon  his  compliance  with such directions, such transferee
      shall be vested  with  all  the  powers  conferred  upon  such  railroad
      commissioners and subject to all the duties imposed upon them.
