Section 160-J. Examination prerequisites

1. Certified general classification. As a prerequisite to taking the examination for certification as a state certified general real estate appraiser, an applicant shall present evidence satisfactory to the board that he or she has fulfilled the minimum education and experience requirements for such certification examination as established by the board, which shall not be less than the minimum criteria established by the Appraiser Qualification Board pursuant to Title XI of the Financial Institution Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989. 2. Certified residential classification. As a prerequisite to taking the examination for certification as a state certified residential real estate appraiser, an applicant shall present evidence satisfactory to the board that he or she has fulfilled the minimum education and experience requirements for such certification examination as established by the board, which shall not be less than the minimum criteria established by the Appraiser Qualification Board pursuant to Title XI of the Financial Institution Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989. 3. Licensed classification.
