Section 150. Expiration of term

Every county executive elected or appointed for a fixed term shall hold over and continue to discharge the duties of his office after the expiration of his term until his successor is chosen and has qualified, but after the expiration of such term the office shall be deemed vacant for the purpose of choosing his successor. All provisions of section five of the public officers law not inconsistent with this chapter shall apply.
